The continent of Nortia consists only of the mainland and the island of Tinus. It is the icy north of Aevum, there is nothing but ice and snow. Even though there is enough space for villages and cities, there are no plants and in general it is very difficult to survive there. The Algidus Mountains are the largest mountains on Nortia. The highest point of the mountains is 2,943 meters. The mountains are covered with snow throughout and are steep and dangerous in many places. In one of the lower mountain elements a cave leads deep into it. This extends underground almost through the entire mountain range. Through the many passages and cavities it resembles a gigantic underground labyrinth. All around the mainland and the island are ice sheets that often drift out to sea. Depending on their size, they can be the doom of many of the ships. Besides the Algidus Mountains, there is also the Gelu Mountains, which are much smaller. The highest point of the mountains is at 1,560 meters. This mountain range is also covered with snow, but it is much easier to climb than the Algidus mountain range. One of the most dangerous places on Nortia is the Ice Canyon. It is about 1,000 meters deep, steep and downright icy. Tinus Island is the iciest place on Nortia. With temperatures sometimes as low as -70 °C, the island is unbearable at night. On the mainland it is often 10 - 20 °C warmer. Also during the day the island with its maximum temperaturesof max. -55 °C is no place to stay for a long time. The Nivalis mountain range is 1,699 meters high at its highest point. There, it is not necessarily the steep mountain walls that are a problem, but mainly the thick layer of ice and the almost constant strong wind. Compared to the ice canyon on the mainland, the Lagois canyon is downright cozy. It is about 600 meters deep, often snow lies meters high at the bottom of the canyon. Surprisingly, the stone walls are only slightly icy and would allow a brave adventurer to descend.
