In the story "The Prophecy of Light" the demons play a very special role. Damon and later also Fusco have great influence on the course of the story. The demons are actually a very warlike people. It is always about power, rank, honor and reputation. So the demons have been fighting each other since they started to exist and will surely do it to their bitter end. Demons are mostly male born to children. At about 25 demons, a female demon is born. Despite the small number of female demons, the demonesses are the least appreciated. They are usually just treated like an unimportant object that you only need to ensure its survival. As a female demon, it is not easy. The word demon comes from the Greek "daimon" (spirit) as well as "daimónion" (fateful power, warning or warning voice, doom). In the story "The Prophecy of the Light", however, demons are of a different kind than often described in Christianity. They are not fallen angels or even evil spirits. Although they serve the devil in the story, but that had a very different origin, as one also learns there.
The rank system of the demons is divided into three levels - the top ranks, the middle ranks and the lowest ranks -. These three are divided again, but very different. There are also different rights and rules depending on the rank. Ranking is important in that, as high-ranking others may be under their protection. He then has to first challenge the "protector" before he takes hold of the "protégé". For demon families, it is generally true that you challenge the one with the highest rank, practically the "head of the family". This is how the demons protect each other. Among other things so that it does not constantly lead to deaths among them. However, this also means that often weaker demons are rejected from their families, because no one wants to take responsibility for them.
Already many millennia before Satan and Gabriel originated, the demons already existed. Previously, there were only the ordinary mortals who populated this world. But a terrible fire threatened to burn down a whole village. The souls of the dead did not want to allow that and desperately tried to take in the fire to save the living. The fire solidifies in their souls. They seemed to burn and yet not to burn. The fire enveloped the soul and formed a new body. They were also flesh and blood, but the fire still blazed in them. In her blood, in her lungs, in every cell of her body. However, they lived again. They needed air to breathe, like any ordinary mortal, and could eat and drink if they wanted. The ordinary mortals were startled by what had happened. They referred to them as fire creatures born of the flames. The fear was too great in front of the stranger and so they drove the demons away. The demons then formed their own people and, believing that they were being led by fate, called themselves demons. Very soon they discovered their abilities and the thirst for power woke up. They started to fight each other. However, their number increased rapidly. At that time, it was still important to the demons to ensure their survival. There are some demons that came later. Today nobody seems to be left behind. While the group of souls at that time emerged from the fire, there were isolated souls who took in hurricanes, tidal waves, or rock avalanches to protect ordinary mortals. These also became demons, but instead of the flames in their veins, it was air, water or earth. However, the numbers were so small that in time they lost their offspring and the demons that once emerged from the fire became genetically accepted. Also, the three elements had a decided disadvantage. The demons that came out of the fire could eat and drink or let it be. On the other hand, those with the element air tolerated no food at all. Neither liquid, nor in solid form. Water and earth looked similar. In the element of water they could only eat liquid food, whereas in the element earth it was only the solid food.

Fireforces These are already innate in every demon. Similar to black magic, they can also create fireballs and use them for attack. However, they have to be careful not to burn themselves. Actually, demons don‘t really burn. It only hurts when they burn, but they never really burn. Their skin may hurt when actually lit, but they can‘t burn and after a short cooling in the water, the whole incident is forgotten. In addition to the fireballs, some demons use the fire whip. However, this is not fixed properly. It is actually made of fire and is often used in conjunction with black magic to give the demon a fire-free grip. He/she would otherwise cause himself/herself pain. A very special ability of the demons, however, is the fire spitting. Unwanted, but you could compare it smoothly with a dragon. However, it is very unpleasant because a demon feels the burning sensation in the throat during the fire-spitting. If used too often one after another, many of demons were hoarse and coughed wildly. Not to be forgotten, however, is the possibility of a hand movement and a strong will to let objects or even people like out of nowhere in fire. Demons rarely use the firepower among themselves, as it has no great effect on them. However, these forces often give them a great advantage over others.
